Product leader — frontier consumer AI & spatial computing · 0→1 to scale
Product leader with 25 years turning frontier technology into consumer products at Meta, Zillow, Microsoft and OnLive, and a two-time founder. Owned real-time communication for Meta's Orion AR glasses, conceived and drove photorealistic avatars for WhatsApp and Messenger calling and Ray-Ban Display, led the memory service behind Meta's first camera glasses, and conceived Zillow's Integrated Media Experience (now on ~13% of US homes). CS degree; 19 granted US patents from 45 published filings. Now building Wild Atlas, an AI-native children's discovery app built end to end with Claude Code.
Experience
Founded and solo-built a children's nature and animal discovery app for iOS (ages 2–9), using AI across engineering, generative content and operations. wildatlasapp.com
- Built and shipped the full iOS app with Claude Code (SwiftUI) across multiple 2026 releases: 250+ animals in 13 packs, five languages, privacy-first and COPPA-compliant.
- Designed a multi-modal generative pipeline for illustrations and narrated audio (Gemini, OpenAI, local Stable Diffusion) so pre-readers can explore on their own.
- Set the business model (free and paid packs, a one-time all-access pass, no subscription) and built first-party analytics with an AI querying agent.
- 5.0 stars on the App Store, with parents calling out an ethical, non-algorithmic alternative to engagement-driven screen time.
Senior IC leading 0→1 AI and spatial communication across Orion AR glasses, Meta's camera glasses and the calling stack in Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram.
- Orion: product lead (DRI) for real-time communication on Meta's first holographic AR glasses. Built the first copresence prototypes, set the 0→1 strategy and shipped multiple versions of the copresence and photorealistic calling stack, backed by three organizations.
- Photorealistic avatars: conceived and drove real-time photorealistic avatars for WhatsApp and Messenger calling, bringing generative AI, computer vision and low-latency sensor pipelines into production.
- Ray-Ban Display: incubated photorealistic avatar calling from a hackathon prototype to a company-wide employee beta, rendered in the cloud and running on WhatsApp's Private Processing. Won executive sponsorship up to Mark Zuckerberg. Announced at Connect 2026 as Meta Hologram.
- Human feedback: built a call-and-rate harness used by tens of thousands of employees, turning "does this feel like me?" into signals that steered model research.
- Ray-Ban Stories: product lead (DRI) for the Memory Service on Meta's first camera glasses. Set the vision and roadmap across five teams in AR/VR, Facebook AI and the Assistant org; delivered cloud backup and storage for every capture in the first release.
- Aligned executive leadership across research, applied ML, hardware and infrastructure in five business units.
Product lead for computer vision and machine learning, creating industry-first spatial media experiences.
- Conceived and built Zillow's Integrated Media Experience (IMX), using CV/ML to fuse floor plans, photos and 3D tours into one listing experience, now on ~13% of US homes. Zillow reports 60% more views and 79% more saves for listings with interactive floor plans.
- Scaled the Zillow 3D Home capture app from pilot to nationwide release; 3D tours on for-sale listings more than tripled year over year.
- Led automated floor-plan reconstruction models that extract room geometry, square footage and orientation relative to photos and tours.
Led API architecture and user experience for Xero's US payments platform across payroll, billing and expenses.
- Cut onboarding from days to minutes, cost per transaction by $15 and support overhead by $12 per user a month.
Co-founded a SaaS platform for the electronic music industry. Raised ~$550K plus ~$800K in partner-contributed engineering.
- Shipped v1 (cloud CMS, hosted sites and APIs) in 12 months to five industry customers serving hundreds of artists. Designed the entire product.
Earlier
Ran product and design for the first real-time cloud game streaming service across TV, PC, Mac and tablets. Designed the virtual touch controller behind six granted patents now held by Sony.
Incubated and launched Zune Smart DJ, an early ML music recommendation engine (2009). Launched Bing for iOS, Microsoft's first iPhone app (1M downloads in 4 weeks). Built Windows Update services and APIs used by 600M+ machines a month.
